State Bank of India (SBI) is conducting the exam for the post of Circle Based Officer on 21st January 2024. Now, the admit card for the exam will be released soon by the bank on sbi.co.in. The admit card will be uploaded for all the candidates who have applied for the SBI CBO Recruitment. They can check all the latest updates regarding the exam here.

SBI CBO Exam Date 2023

According to the notice, the SBI CBO 2023 online test would be held on January 21, 2024. Through this recruitment process, the State Bank of India hopes to fill a total of 5447 Circle Based Officer positions. 5280 of these openings are regular, while the remaining 167 are backlog vacancies. Candidates will be selected based on an online test, screening, and interviews.

SBI CBO 2024 Selection Process

The selection will be done on the basis of Online Test, Screening and Interview. The exam will be held online in which 120 questions will be objective type and 50 questions will be descriptive type.

Online Test

The online examination will consist of a 120-mark objective test and a 50-mark descriptive test. The descriptive test will be administered immediately following the completion of the objective test, and applicants must type their descriptive test answers on a computer.
(i) Objective Test: The objective test lasts two hours and consists of four sections worth a total of 120 points. Each part will have its own set of timings.

(ii) Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test lasts 30 minutes. It will be an English Language (Letter Writing and Essay) test with two questions totaling 50 points. There will be no sectional qualification marks.

Overall there are minimum qualifying marks and minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the bank.

Screening

The online applications and documents of the candidates who qualify in the online examination will be placed before the screening committee.

 Interview

The interview will be of 50 marks. Candidates will have to score minimum qualifying marks in the interview to be considered for final selection. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the bank.

Final Selection

  • Candidates will have to qualify separately in both Online Test and Interview. The marks obtained in the Online Test in both Objective Test and Descriptive Test will be added to the marks obtained in the interview to prepare the final merit list.
  • The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of normalization of marks obtained in the Online Test and Interview with 75:25 weightage respectively.

    There will be no negative marking for wrong answers in the objective tests.
