Educational Qualification
- Secondary School Examination (SSE) pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics and English conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India, State Governments, or Union Territories in India.
- The applicant should have studied the local language at least up to 10th Standard from a recognized board. Post-wise local language details are given in Annexure-III.
- Special provisions apply for engagement in Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, and Sikkim regarding local language requirements.

Salary/Stipend

Selection Process
- Applicants will be shortlisted for engagement on the basis of a system-generated merit list.
- Merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in Secondary School Examination of 10th standard, aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals.
- For applicants with grades/points only, subject-wise marks will be arrived at by applying a multiplication factor of 9.5.
- Where Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is provided, marks will be arrived at by multiplying the CGPA by 9.5.
- In case of tie among applicants, priority will be decided based on: DOB (older in age), followed by category order: ST trans-woman, ST female, SC trans-woman, SC female, OBC trans-woman, OBC female, EWS trans-woman, EWS female, UR trans-woman, UR female, and so on.
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed through SMS and email on registered mobile number and email address.
- Physical verification of documents will be conducted by the Divisional/Unit Head of the Division/Unit where the post is notified.
- Upon successful verification, a system-generated ‘Offer of provisional engagement’ will be issued immediately.
- Candidates must complete pre-engagement formalities within 30 days from the date of offer of provisional engagement, including prescribed basic training of 3 days and arrangement of accommodation (for BPM posts).
- Final order of engagement will be issued after receipt of verification reports from issuing authorities and antecedent reports from Police Authorities.
General Information/Instructions
- Only one registration is permitted per candidate. Multiple or duplicate registrations/applications are strictly prohibited.
- Candidates are not required to attach/upload any documents along with the application form except recent photograph and signature.
- Applications submitted without complete data will be rejected.
- Applicants should enter all details such as name, date of birth, father’s name, and mother’s name strictly as per the SSC (Class X) marksheet.
- Applications with blurred or illegible photographs/signatures will be rejected.
- GDS are not regular employees of the Department/Central Government. Their service conditions are governed by GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2020.
- GDS are required to work for a minimum of four hours and a maximum of five hours a day.
- GDS cannot be retained beyond 65 years of age.
- A Sevak should have another source of income besides the allowances paid by the Government for adequate means of livelihood.
