Four Years Relaxation in Upper Age: With Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in the race for the election of the National President of the Congress party, the political tussle over who will become the new Chief Minister in Rajasthan continues. Out of the camp of former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot and CM Gehlot, Speaker CP Joshi is the two main contenders. Meanwhile, the Rajasthan government led by Ashok Gehlot has given a big relief to the young unemployed. The government has changed the upper age limit rules prescribed for application in all the recruitment of Rajasthan government.
Exemption from December 31, 2020 to December 31, 2024
The state government has announced a relaxation of four years in the upper age limit. An official notification in this regard has been issued by the Governor. In the notification issued by the Raj Bhavan of Rajasthan, it was said that the change in age limit criteria is hereby approved to further amend the Rajasthan Public Service Commission Clerk and Subordinate Services Rules and Regulations 1999 on behalf of the Governor. The notification reads that under the amendment of the rule a person who was within the upper age limit as on December 31, 2020, will be deemed to be within the age limit as on December 31, 2024.

In the notification issued by the Governor, it has been said that the candidates who have crossed the upper age limit as on December 31, 2020, will be invited for all the recruitments done by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission and Rajasthan Subordinate Services Selection Commission till December 31, 2024. Will be eligible to apply in the outgoing applications. There is a relaxation of 04 years in the upper age limit to the youth of the state by the government. On behalf of the Governor of Rajasthan, Joint Government Secretary Ram Niwas Mehta has issued an official notification in this regard on Friday, November 23, 2022.
